Welcome to Cooking Fantastic

at The Cud Life

We have designed this site to be unique like our shop and where you can find recipes, information, tips and ideas as well as products. And, of course, you can still purchase any of our products; all we ask is that you email or call us so we can ensure you get the right product at the right price. Your item will then be posted out to you on the same day.

Our mantra is Tried, Trusted, Tested – not only by ourselves, but by our suppliers and customers as well. We always listen to feedback and if we find a supplier is not living up to expectations, we will reconsider ordering from them in future, as we believe honesty is the best policy and trust has to be earned.

Good feedback is what we always strive for.

Tried, Tested, Trusted

About Cooking Fantastic

Having built up a solid reputation and a loyal following of customers in our old home on the High Street Knaresborough, Cooking Fantastic has now relocated to our farm in Killinghall.

We are now pleased to have everything under one umbrella at THE CUD LIFE at Spruisty Hall Farm.

Cottages, Camping, Cookware and Coffeeshop!

We are still an ‘Aladdins Cave’ of fantastic quality and value cookware products not to mention fabulous gifts for every occasion. We still have everything from potato peelers and pans to pickling jars and pressure cookers!
Where possible products are sourced and made in the UK, including the ever popular Silverwoods bakeware range and lots of cake decorating equipment. We still source new products all the time.
We will still hire lots of things out from cake tins to fish poachers, offer honest advice and have lots of fun along the way.

Words of Wisdom

A closed mouth gathers no foot.

Elephant Stew

~ 1 Elephant, Medium size

~ 2 rabbits (optional)

~ gravy

Cut elephant into bite size pieces and cover with gravy.
Cook over kerosene fire for about 4 weeks at 465 degrees F.

This elephant serves 3,800 adults and 35 children.
If more are expected, two rabbits may be added.
Do this only if absolute necessary, as most people do not like to find a hare in their stew.

Opening Hours

He Didn’t Like My Pudding

He didn’t like my pudding,
and he didn’t like my cake.
My biscuits were too hard,
not like his mother used to make.
I didn’t perk the coffee,
and I didn’t make the stew,
I didn’t mend his socks
like his mother used to do.
As I pondered for an answer,
I was looking for a clue.
So I turned and boxed his ears,
like his mother used to do.
